A decent experience with a unique and decently-well built room. Staff member was friendly and walked us through the instructions, hints, etc., although upon successfully beating the room, we tried exiting and the door seemed locked. We had to wait a few minutes for them to come open the door - no huge deal (but I thought the door was always open?).
The room itself was crafted well with authentic materials, some impressive mechanics which all worked and it had a good mix of puzzles, and everything felt immersive. What did not feel immersive were the numerous printed out signs saying to not destroy anything or touch some things, which is a shame they need to place these signs but I don’t fault them for it. My only critique is that we felt the room could be a tad longer however I know it was on the easier side.
When we exited the room, we were told there were a few props we could use for pictures but it was awkwardly self-serve in a relatively cramped hallway. Again - no huge deal - but just felt like we were left to do our own thing instead of being kindly ushered out, no “come back soon”, “see you again”, “thanks for coming”, etc.
Overall would return and try again if/when in the area.

“Had an amazing time at Butcher’s Basement! The atmosphere was super immersive and creepy, and the puzzles were both challenging and fun. The staff were really friendly and gave helpful hints when needed. Definitely recommend this escape room if you’re into horror themes!”

I had such a great time at this escape room! The puzzles were fun and challenging, but not frustrating, and the staff were really friendly and helpful. The whole place felt really immersive and exciting. I had so much fun with my friends and would definitely come back.

We did a room for my friend's bachelorette party, we popped in without booking ahead and they were able to accommodate us which was great. We did the prisoner room, you can do a room for their leaderboard or just for fun, we were just for fun so we got some extra hints and what not which ended up being helpful. The room itself was good, puzzles were decent, and we had a good time.

This was my first time ever going to use escape room and the staff are very supportive and even gave us extra few minutes to finish because there was no one waiting behind us. The only drawback was that a few of their props were a big finicky ie locks were not simple to reset, puzzles sometimes didn't engage as intended, which led to a little bit of player confusion and frustration, thankfully on our first game the staff Lily was watching and helped us, the second game we kept figuring out the puzzle and it didn't engage, we had to ask for a hint and then they saw we did it and bypassed it but we wasted 20 minutes of our hour doing it again. The staff were busy and there were people behind us so they couldn't give us any time back which was disappointing. That said, the game themes were fun and varied so you every type and level of gamer vould enjoy it. The rooms were clean and well organized, the staff were EXTREMELY friendly and the it was a great family friendly way to spend time with friends and loved ones.

Had so much fun here! Did the butcher room with myself and one other friend and managed to escape (mind you we needed like 5 hints) but the lady running it was so nice and so helpful! Definitely will be coming back.

Recently did The Ninja as a part of a work function. The room was well thought out and put together. It required precise communication and teamwork in order to complete. Our entire group of six were actively participating the entire time. No one was left waiting or with nothing to do. We also loved that the room contained unique puzzles. Not a single padlock puzzle in sight. We had a great time and would return the next time we are in Toronto together.

Did the butcher’s room, the set design was superb!
I’ve done a couple escape rooms in different cities and I’m always disoriented on what I can and cannot do and sometimes the exercises can be so convoluted. This one was my favourite by far as it’s straightforward.
We almost made it within the hour but this room was more like a 3/5 difficulty if you keep a clear mind despite all the horror.

It was mostly based on locks and determining combo numbers from the setting rather than finding things and using them. Maybe a balanced variety of exercises?

Had a lot of fun and suspense! It was freaky going in (did the Butcher's Basement), and the creepy sounds playing over the speaker always kept me on edge. The puzzles were fun/interesting to solve — always looking for codes/number patterns so we could unlock the next room and progress. The creepy props all around always kept me wondering, 'what's a clue, what isn't?' adding to the fun, suspense, and mystery of it all. Definitely want to go back and try a another room/theme.

Loved the butcher's basement, the atmosphere is scary, very realistic decor, if you like horror, scary rooms, definitely try this room! The puzzles are interesting and challenging, it is the hardest room, but doable with unlimited hints, staff were very helpful and patient with us, always ready to help. We escaped within the hour with their help. Can't wait to try the other rooms, they all sound interesting.
